Resident Spotlight: Vinia Vanover.

When Vinia began her search for a senior living community, Willow Care was her first choice. She had suffered a decline in her health and was looking for extra support. She also had a friend who lived here.

Our intimate setting in Hannibal, Missouri radiates the warm, residential feel of home. As a smaller community, our senior health care center is able to create a true sense of belonging for residents. It’s easy to get to know neighbors quickly and make friendships here.

Vinia said, “The staff is all friendly and help me when I need them. I also like the bingo days. Most of the time the food is good. And if I don’t like it, they will cook me something else that I do like.”

Vinia’s hobbies include sewing, playing bingo and watching different types of movies.

Vinia’s Background and Family.

Vinia lived in Florissant, Missouri and would travel to visit a brother-in-law in Saverton, Missouri. “I really enjoy country life,” she added.

At age 19, she began work in an office and then at a drug company where she took phone orders. Later, she was employed at a day care center.

Very close to her family, Vinia has a big heart and tries to help others when she can. Her friends would describe her as kind and easy to talk to. She’s proud of her family. She has one daughter, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
